Who We Are
IT Help Online is a remote IT support service operated by eDream OÜ, an Estonia-based company. We provide online computer help to home users and small businesses worldwide.

What Data We Collect
When you submit a request through our contact form, we collect the following personal data that you provide:
- Name
- Email address
- Country / time zone
- Device type (selected from a dropdown)
- Message describing your IT issue
Additionally, our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 for spam and bot prevention. reCAPTCHA collects data such as browser information, IP address, and mouse movements. This data is processed by Google and is subject to Google's privacy policy.
Purpose of Processing
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your IT support request via email
- To communicate with you about your support session
- To prevent spam and automated abuse of our contact form (legitimate interest under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f))
Legal Basis
- Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): By submitting the contact form and checking the consent checkbox, you consent to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of handling your IT support request.
- Legitimate Interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): We use Google reCAPTCHA based on our legitimate interest in protecting our website from spam, bots, and abuse. reCAPTCHA is essential for the security of our contact form.
Data Retention
Contact form submissions and related email correspondence are retained for 12 months after the last communication. After this period, the data is deleted from our email system and backups.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to restriction of processing — request that we limit how we process your data
- Right to data portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority or the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (AKI).
Third Parties
- Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) — provides reCAPTCHA v3 for spam and bot detection, and Google Analytics for website traffic analysis. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Terms of Service.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties. We do not use Google Ads, Meta Pixel, or any advertising or marketing tracking services.
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:
- SSL/TLS encryption — all data transmitted between your browser and our server is encrypted
- Encrypted SMTP — form submissions are sent via encrypted email protocol
- Server security — our hosting infrastructure is maintained with security updates and access controls
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors interact with our website. Google Analytics collects the following types of data:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (country and city level)
- Traffic source (how you found our site — search, referral, direct)
- Interaction events (clicks, form submissions, scroll depth)
IP anonymization is enabled by default in Google Analytics 4 — full IP addresses are not stored. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you consent to Analytics cookies in our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting cookie preferences.
Data collected by Google Analytics is processed by Google Ireland Limited. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent data collection across all websites.
Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) — analytics cookies are only activated after you explicitly accept them.
International Data Transfers
Our website and email are hosted on servers in Estonia (EU/EEA). Google services (reCAPTCHA and Analytics) may process data on servers outside the EU. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and its Data Processing Agreement for GDPR-compliant international transfers.
